@LMIronwerks Put a ground on both the cabinet and on the blasting gun is best or at least a brass air fittings of the incoming air supply. Also I know it's effort but do all the calking/weather-stripping you need to seal gaps so dust doesn't go everywhere.

This is my blasting cabinet. Hands down the worst thing in the shop. It's dirty. It's finicky. And you see those little screws around the glovie holes? When you blast, static electricity builds up and shoots 50 MILLION VOLTS DIRECTLY INTO YOUR NIPPLES IF YOU GET CLOSE ENOUGH. Guess who likes to hug the cabinet like he loves it. It doesn't love me back.

@The4thEstate @Watchman_motto Laundry off of the kitchen is fine, but having to walk through the laundry when going from the kitchen to dining room is dumb. This plan would have been better if the laundry room was more a walkthrough to the bedrooms and you could have still had it right next to the kitchen.

I think the mid-century aesthetic is trying to fool us into thinking this is a good floor plan. Laundry right next to kitchen? Barely any windows. Bedrooms smooshed together in back. Family room facing street. Picture the brick swapped with today’s popular white vinyl siding. I appreciate what you’re getting at, and this plan is better than the modern low income home, but this is far from ideal.

The thing about these old homes is that the floor plan is always genius. You may think that you can come up with a better floor plan, but even modern architects have a hard time doing it right. It’s also not intuitive why this is so nice, and many people have a hard time seeing it in their mind’s eye when looking at a print.

@DogInATutu @ImMeme0 Basically the same case with a neighbor church of mine that is right next to a school. I think they just blindly assumed that it be fine using each others parking lot as overflow. Insurance and other strife caused them to block their lots to each other for like 4 years.
