🚨 Dear Crypto bros, heads up on a persistent scam targeting people in our space. Scammers post fake "remote" or "crypto-related" jobs (often on LinkedIn, Telegram, Job platforms) that specifically ask for skills like "familiar with MetaMask/Ledger/wallets" or "experience using crypto tools." This is intentional — it filters for victims who already have wallets installed on their machines. Once you apply/show interest, they quickly move to a "video interview" stage and send a link disguised as official Webex by Cisco (they claim to use the "corporate/enterprise version" for security/compliance reasons). The link leads to a fake landing page mimicking Cisco WebEx, prompting you to download an "installer" or "client update" to join the call. This is malware — typically RATs/keyloggers likely designed to steal wallet seeds, browser data, private keys, etc. When candidates push back and ask to use Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, or any alternative platform, scammers refuse with excuses like in the picture. Legit companies (especially in crypto) will happily accommodate standard platforms. Never download executables from unverified interview links. Use official sites/apps only. Stay safe out there 🫡
