@conor64 You miss the political context here, which is the ongoing fight between the state legislature and the UW System in the *actual* (not abstract) state of Wisconsin. Politics is local.

@lithub re: the Odyssey article -- it's "my father and me." "Me" is part of a compound direct object of the verb (past participle) "to help" and should be in the accusative case. Old teacher trick: would you say "helped ... I"? If not, it's "me."
