All good points about running a business and supply and demand, of course. I'm simply stating that it's also valid for furries to feel like they're being taken advantage of, the same as they'd feel when buying the $10 soda/$20 beer at an event - it's something I still do when I have a $20 thirst, but I won't like it, no matter who's selling it, whenever I consider that I bought a single beer for the price of a 24-pack.
I also see no problem with people expressing their dissatisfaction with the quality, price, and inherent creativity of the goods being sold - it's the market critiquing itself, to make a correction. People want less reselling and more creative, bespoke, furry-made goods.
Coming from a technical space with experience designing and producing badges and various tiny electronic gadgets (and having witnessed the creativity of this community), we have the skills to produce uniquely-furry products, like these digital badges; we just may not have the motivation or space in the market to bring something with actual effort and creativity behind it when competing with a $5 mass-produced good.

So charging 500% for a soda is offering a skill? The whole point is that I can't make enough selling the steak to make a profit. You have to make enough profit to cover costs. So having a more profitable item to help cover the costs of the less profitable items allows you to stay in business as a restaurant. Keep in mind restaurants and retail stores aren't a 1 for 1 in terms of how things are priced, but its not THAT far off.
People don't take into account all the costs that you have to have to run a small business, and still turn a profit.
Yes, some people can price gouge. That's not ok. Less people are going to buy a 75$. It's not smart business to do that, when they could get more customers for a cheaper price.
There is a limit though, at what point is too low? You have to keep in mind that the amount of people they have to sale to is limited too. Its not like they can set the price to 9$, make 1$ of every sale. The wouldn't make enough profit to justify doing that considering they probably sell 100 of these at a con AT BEST.
They need to cover the cost of people of the dealer space(If there is a fee), Plane tickers/gas, hotel, food, tables, retail marques, labor (if its a small business with full time employees, health insurance and all that kind crap that comes with it). How much do you think the cost of all that is? I'd wager probably in thousands.
These dealers at cons aren't going there, selling all day at the con, just to break even. They are trying to make a profit. It's not like they are stealing from people. They are offering merchandise. If people don't want the merchandise, then buy it somewhere else.
When it comes down to it. It's a average small business, with a pretty standard retail markup.

This is how almost all modern businesses work. Unless you're a major company that can afford to do custom R/D on products, they are buying wholesale for cheap, marking it up, and selling for a profit.
You might say, "Yeah but they marked it up by a big amount." Guess what. A LOT OF THINGS are marked up by like 400-500% or more.
I used to be a chef. A steak dinner is like 30$.. You might only make 2$ on that because the cost of that dish is so much. So how do you make money to pay your staff and everything? You mark up other stuff like drinks, and appetizers.
Literally everything you see in a store, unless they have a supply chain to make the product themselves, is doing this exact thing.
You have expenses like paying employees, marketing material (Gotta pay artist for their work too right?), travel, food expenses, Healthcare, ETC ETC.. and on top of that you need to turn a profit enough to survive as a person.
This isn't a scam, that's just how businesses work. If you want to buy direct from AliExpress, go ahead. No one is stopping you, but don't demonize a small business for trying to survive.

This company is selling these ebadges for $35 meanwhile you can buy the SAME exact ones for $5 on Aliexpress. The only difference is their logo being on the back. Do not fall for these scams. There is nothing special about the ones this company is selling.

It's likely the yt-dlp binary VRC pushes down to your computer, that VRC uses to resolve YouTube URL's to the actual streaming video files. I believe I documented my temporary fix for it here: ask.vrchat.com/t/videoplayer-…
There are a number of other possibilities, so if that doesn't work, hit me up in the DM's.
