@slac29587 @SethOnHoops @MarchMadnessMBB Don’t take away the Cinderella stories we get with 64. That was also a money grab, but it ended up working out. This expansion is actually aimed at stopping the Cinderella stories by putting more high majors in the way of the Cinderella stories, if you think about it.

If you play 12 + top 20 opponents in conference and another 3 in non Conference you are going to lose a bunch of games. But those teams also ha e beaten teams that made deep runes in the tournament.

@dgamber2 @SethOnHoops @MarchMadnessMBB He does make good ones but wish he had his numbers in order. No one has complaints w/ 18-12 or 17-13, though they play more than 30. The bubble teams we’ll be discussing are 17-16 and some will have lost 60-70% of their league games, based on this year’s teams. Feels unnecessary.

Serious as a heart attack. Conference tournaments Gives everyone a chance to earn their way. You. Are playing 18 /20 game schedules 5 brutal N/C games. You are going to lose more games. More good players across landscape of CBB means more good teams.

Fwiw when you coach you spend a lot of time helping raise someone else's kids. Teaching life's lessons. That's a very big part of the job. The best are lifetime mentors to former players. In last week I've spent time with 3 former player helping their children and loving it
