@TheGrainiac I was digging over the finals one time and my dad told me that was how you could tell the difference between an operator and an apprentice. I work for a heavy civil contractor and I’ve found that to pretty much be true.

Excavator operators, my dad says always dig in reverse to keep weight on idlers & off final drives. Not finding much consensus online. It never crossed my mind. Thoughts of the group?

@SethRuckman You will be going after 2 40 footers before you know it. We have been running 255 on a 1790 for 15+ yrs now, bee a great combo for us.

I'm new to doing our own herbicide program. This is from a trusted farmer and friend I work with that has clean fields. I built this sheet to make sure my brain had it straight, so any errors are mine. Looking for any additional input and suggestions before ordering. Thanks in advance

@Storm5farms I’m partial to ch’s. I’ve never been able to pencil a nice straight truck vs what these and cheap hoppers sell for.

Never buy when you need something but always be prepared to jump on an opportunity when it presents itself.

2 years in a row of buying hydraulic drive planters and converting to ground drive and adding a John blue piston pump. I don’t know what it is about hydraulic drive that scares me but I want to just go plant when I want to plant.

I’ve been a father for two years as of today Only thing I wish is that I’d done it sooner. Not by an insane amount, just a couple of years. For me, 29-31 would have been perfect
