On behalf of the Ministry of Health, I convey deep sorrow following the passing of Dr. Job Obwaka at the age of 83, a veteran obstetrician and former Director at the Nairobi Hospital.
Dr. Obwaka devoted his life to advancing medical practice in Kenya, leaving an invaluable contribution to the medical fraternity through his clinical excellence, leadership and mentorship of generations of practitioners.
His work significantly strengthened standards of care and improved outcomes in maternal and reproductive health services across the country.
We honour his distinguished service and commitment to humanity and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues and the wider medical community during this difficult time.

Harassment by the Government of Kenya, its interference with the management the Nairobi Hospital, and trumped up charges on the same definitely accelerated the deterioration of the health of Dr Job Obwaka and his untimely death. I am sad and annoyed.

Elections are WON or LOST at voter registration. And The Tyranny of SMALL Numbers is happening. Turkana has the highest registration at 21%, and Nyandarua has the LOWEST at 4%. Rift Valley has registered 29% of the total. This is twice Kikuyus and Kambas. Opposition is ASLEEP!

The Kamba community owes a lot to the Somali community. We have empowered many of them through job opportunities, not only in North Eastern Kenya but also in Somalia. The road they are blocking is very important for transportation and economic activities along the corridor. We need services, and they need employment, especially the people of Kitui where Kalonzo comes from. Similarly, The Somali community owes a lot to the Kamba community. They have hosted us in their land, allowed us to marry their girls, they buy our cows, milk, goats and camels. We use their roads, hospitals and schools. Without the Kamba community, Somalis in Garissa, Isiolo, Wajir and Mandera would be nothing. The two communities 100% depends on each other. I feel sorry for those who have lost their loved ones in both communities, but kindly let's stop these fights. Kamba and Somali Politicians are behind this. Kambas and Somalis are fighting on their behalf. Don't die or kill each other because of a politician.
