We’re working on a major campaign so we’re in the office late and it’s school holidays and this little one’s mom is one of our creative leads and when I tell you my office is hers…I mean it. Going to Shell House with my mom when she worked in Mandela’s office. Sitting in the control room at GCIS watching MANY screens at the same time every other day after school whilst waiting for mom to finish work. Going to concerts at Joburg Stadium with my dad cos his security company had the contract for event security for a while. Going to my dad’s gun shop that my sister was running. My mom being employed and my dad being an employer shaped the type of worker I am today 🫶🏼🙏❤️

But even if you go that route, that song has over 440million+ streams on Spotify alone, surpassing ‘With You’ with over 300m+ streams. The video, the units sold, the commercial success, in fact, by every metric, it is the biggest song in the African music category. Davido was not robbed and Tyla is not an industry plant. She deserves it and she won it. Give her her flowers and stop discrediting a hardworking artist.
