Tonight, the U.S. Secret Service and law enforcement acted quickly, decisively, and saved lives. I am grateful the President, public officials, and guests are safe. These repeated acts of political violence against the President and others in our nation must stop.

Honored to support a true Nevadan who understands rural issues.

On this Tax Day, elected leaders must reaffirm their commitment to stopping tax hikes on the American people. As Republican Senate Leader, I was proud to lead the charge in suing Carson City Democrats when they unconstitutionally raised taxes on Nevadans. We won a landmark decision in Legislature of the State of Nevada v. Settelmeyer, and returned $107 million in taxes and fees to the people from whom they were taken. Thanks to our efforts, the Nevada Legislature cannot pass a tax increase without a 2/3 majority vote, a precedent that remains in place today.
