Do you think discernment is just intuition or something deeper? If you could see the spiritual realm for a few minutes, you would avoid certain people, conversations and environments. Not everything harmful is obvious on the surface. Discernment matters, being sensitive to what helps or harm you even if you can’t see it. It is less about fear and more about wisdom.

Sometimes your calling is found in what feels easiest to you but impactful others. Today, go out there and let your impact be felt.

@Seyified3 To me, discernment is not intuition. My intuition can hint that something isn't good or that I should be weary of a particular thing. But discernment let's you know that this is wrong on all angles. Its more than a surface thing, but it's spiritual and deep

@Seyified3 It often involves profound perception, insight, and acute understanding, often used to navigate moral, spiritual, or practical situations by evaluating hidden influences. It is active, not passive, often rooted in prayer and wisdom.

Absolutely, Discernment isn’t just a gut feeling; it’s a more of a spiritual radar tuned to what nourishes or drains you. Some dangers aren’t visible, they hide in people, words, or places. True discernment is wisdom, not fear: knowing what to do per time...when to engage & when to step back.

@Seyified3 Discernment isn’t just gut feeling, it’s tuned awareness. It helps you navigate life wisely, sensing what nourishes or harms, even when it’s hidden. True wisdom, not fear.

I think it’s deeper than just intuition. It’s awareness shaped by experience, values, and quiet observation. Sometimes your mind processes patterns your eyes haven’t fully caught yet. Discernment is really about protecting your peace and direction, knowing what aligns with you and what quietly drains you, even when it’s not obvious.

@KingbossaVibez So true. It’s almost like spiritual antennae picking up frequencies your physical eyes can’t see . I like how you framed it as filtering with wisdom instead of fear.

Discernment is often described as intuition, but it’s usually something deeper than a quick gut feeling. Intuition is that immediate, subconscious sense you get from patterns your mind has already learned. Discernment builds on that, but adds awareness, reflection, experience, and judgment. It’s the ability to pause, evaluate, and choose wisely—not just react. Your point about “not everything harmful being obvious” is important. Discernment helps you: •Notice subtle red flags in people or situations •Recognize environments that drain or uplift you •Distinguish between what feels good in the moment and what is actually good long-term So rather than something purely mystical or purely logical, discernment sits in between—a blend of perception, experience, and thoughtful evaluation. And you’re right about the mindset: it’s less about fear and more about wisdom. Fear avoids everything; discernment filters and chooses with clarity.
