@MarcoAn95121780 Never felt like it, usually you’re able to run the zam off the board with a combination of unfair stamp and targeting down their draw engine.
English

@Sh001Jones You didn’t feel like you needed Rocky energies for the Pult/Zam matchups?
English

@tzx35 @Senor_Doom I don’t think it’s needed for the matchup, targeting down valuable pieces of their board and spamming hand disruption will win you the matchup on its own. I would rather not play rocky energy since it’s only good in one matchup and hurts the consistency of the deck otherwise.
English

@Sh001Jones @Senor_Doom would you run the special rocky fighting enrrgy? im thinking of running it because of alakazam. If not then how did you manage against alakazam
English

@ElChapouze Yeah, the rocky energy to me is a card that’s only good in one matchup and hurts the consistency of the deck. At the same time, most zam are playing 2 e-hammer anyway. And yeah, spamming hand disruption and targeting their draw support will usually win the matchup on its own.
English

@Sh001Jones Congrats!
No need for the special rock energy? Stamp and judge are enough for the alakazam MU?
English

@Sh001Jones fun game really interesting lines(i was at the gym)
English

@dz_2077 Feels great, especially if you end up going second and need to pivot into solrock. So many other use cases for it too, if I was only playing 2 I might be a little afraid of getting trapped in the active, or just starting makuhita for that matter.
English

@Sh001Jones Im ngl, just in experience ive LOVED going first, slamming a lucario down is insane work very good, the deck can go either first or second from what im noticing, better to take from your opponent
English

@CLuke08 @Sh001Jones To add, I’ve definitely ended games with “Meowth for supporter for game”, especially with Petrol, Boss, Black Belt in the deck.
And some games your opening hand is just completely dead and getting Lillie’s T1 at least lets you try to play the game.
I’m defo keeping it in.
English

@JoshWheeler79 @CyrusTCG Yeah overall I think it’s very matchup dependent and you’ll probably win either way most of the time lol
English

@CyrusTCG @Sh001Jones I kinda thought the same (always go first), then had other (very smart) players say “just always go second, it’s a ‘go second’ meta and it’s better to keep your opp from a strong setup”.
It seems really unclear.
English

@CyrusTCG Honestly, I’ll probably start opting first again too because that’s the safer option. It might not get you an extra prize ahead with solrock, but even that’s not guaranteed. Turn 2 lucario is great pressure for sure.
English

@Sh001Jones Ive been going first and no matter what the deck is consistent enough that i have 0 issues. Will have to do some more testing
English

@CLuke08 The way I feel about the card is that if it’s going to lead to you to getting a prize ahead from what you would be without it, It’s worth putting down. Because at that point it’s an even trade - If they take two prizes from it, just know it saved you from an even worse situation.
English

@Sh001Jones How does the meowth feel? It seems like it could throw off the prize map but does that just never come up when you put it into play?
English

@Sh001Jones Ayo it's me on R5! GGs 💪
English

@Roz3TCG I chose stamp because it’s the best hand disruption card in the format right now, and it literally wins games, especially against decks like alakazam and festival lead. Also a super consistent draw card. I see why max belt is played, but I can cover its numbers with black belt.
English

@Sh001Jones Why did you choose stamp instead of Belt?
What considerations led you to that choice?
English

@MrMotivatedMan Very well. I don’t think any other ace spec comes close to unfair stamp right now. It’s disruptive and wins you so many games. And for the black belt, it basically covers the numbers max belt was covering in the past.
English

@Sh001Jones Based af deck how does Black belt training and unfair stamp treated you?
English

@CyrusTCG We definitely do care about item lock, the poke pads and gongs are vital to get a good setup. Honestly, I’m still not 100% on blinding second. I do see the benefits to going first in matchups like Arboliva and Starmie, where you just wanna get a lucario out to prevent sniping.
English

@Sh001Jones would you not go first? Setting up lucario and such is huge. with our supporter spread wouldnt we not care about item lock
