It will never cease to amaze me how many American boxing fans and writers seem unable to grasp: 1. Size matters. 2. The state of an opponent matters, not just name/belts. 3. Rounds are scored on landed punches, not aggression or styles. 4. Compubox means nothing: gotta watch.

Three years ago, Vasyl Lomachenko took on the undefeated, undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney. Despite giving up 11 years, 15 lbs, and 7 inches of reach, he took Haney to school. Outlanded him in basically every round, snapped his head back, had him lost in the corner.

Top Rank posted HD footage of Loma-Haney. Getting a more accurate read on it. For example, I always thought this right uppercut from Haney landed. Turns out it missed by a tiny amount.

Troll post? Haney landed maybe three body shots a round while getting hammered to the head. Haney was outlanded an average of about 14-9 in the first half and 17-7 in the second half.
