I don’t think Team USA didn’t care. They were businesslike in their demeanor, sure. I think the narrative is that it’s hard for USA fans to care as much as other countries because their fandom lies with their MLB teams whereas other countries’ fans only have their national teams.

$AMD For those waiting for a confirmed double top I kind of think today was a problem for the bears. This is starting to look more like a flat correction. Today pushed up off of the "neckline" with some vigor. Work to do still but I think this may be a warning shot for bears.

...risk is elevated for equities. Bears have been the theme when we ramp. '15-'16 DXY ramp was marked by a not-often-talked-about bear that measured 15% top to bottom, but went on for 2 years (I lost a lot of money in that one). 2008 and 2022 speak for themselves.

Am observing the exact same thing happening with 'the market is oversold so we should bounce' getting pretty loud.
Just remember that oversold can get a lot more oversold, as with overbought in strong upward trending environments 🤷♂️.

21 Mar 2025: On the 'bullish camp' argument, I noticed that one of the reasons cited are technical indicators suggests RSI is oversold and should bounce... I have something to say about technical indicators (having used multiple ones myself in the early beginnings like MACD, Stochastics, KST, RSI, etc.), they are merely a technical tool to stack odds in your favour in conjunction with price action and volume. If you plot an RSI on the $QQQ, you will notice that oversold can stay more oversold in good trending periods (RSI > 50, Year 2024). Similarly now that RSI for the $QQQ is at 40, so long as the level stays below 50, the reading can stay (and get) more oversold during weak market periods. Focus on what the individual stock setups are telling you, does price action and volume look like things are being accumulated? Look at multiple groups, are they all telling you the same story (use a weight of evidence approach)? This was a huge learning lesson for myself when I first started out. Hope it helps!
