@ardoloro @TwtZey No one is talking about the Hittites. my point isn’t about ancient Anatolians. I’m referring to Kemalists in the 20th century. Using the same logic, Native’s would likely have been pushed to adopt a Turkish identity, just like Kurds were expected to. That’s the comparison i made.

You're trying to paint a picture as if we systematically assimilated some native population in Anatolia after 1923, but Hittites haven't been around since a few thousand years.
