@NHL_Muse Classic 1-8 100% and it’s not even close. You want the leagues best teams in the playoffs and some teams won’t make it meanwhile teams that have worse records do… it makes 0 sense… better teams should be in the playoffs, it should be top 16 regardless of conference

I wish the NHL would go back to the 1–8 playoff format. If the playoffs were seeded that way based on today’s standings, the first round would look like this: Western Conference: Avalanche — Sharks Stars — Oilers Wild — Golden Knights Ducks — Mammoth Eastern Conference: Hurricanes — Bruins Sabres — Red Wings Lightning — Islanders Canadiens — Penguins Which playoff format do you prefer: the current divisional bracket or the classic 1–8 seeding? 👀

Blows my mind the #NJDevils have been out of the playoff race for *months* yet would only be three points back of the 8th-seeded Kings out west. The Devils also have five(!) more wins than Los Angeles. Craziness.

@Shadow590 @MrWhite1079 I’ll laugh so hard if lose Grits in addition to Nemec. I think Nemec absolutely gets scooped up by another team via the offer sheet. Losing Grits the same way would be deserved to this management team.

If I was a top rated prospect, I’d be telling my agent that if the #NJDevils select me, I’m not putting their jersey at the draft, I’m not reporting to camp & I’m demanding a trade. This management team has shown over the years that they have no clue what they’re doing.

Hey if you want a positive spin to today’s deadline, I don’t think the Wild did nearly enough to beat Dallas and Colorado, so Quinn Hughes might not love the result this season. They are really thin down the middle. Maybe Quinn could still be in play? #NJDevils

@Shadow590 Doubt Nemec even considers re-signing at this point. Why would he when he could just wait for the offer sheets? He changed agents for a reason.
