@slclax @CanucksHouse Yes it did make little sense for them to make it but it was Rutherford and Allvin trying to keep them afloat. But all I’m saying is he was the best #3 available.

I want M-petey off this Canucks team. We should have kept the fucking pick instead of Jim and Patrik being obsessed with their Pittsburgh players.

@flyrrs I am willing to bet anything that he and everyone else who was a part of that trial will be black listed. It would look awful on them to allow them back.

Genuine question what are we gonna do when Carter Hart inevitably gets called up to the Canada men’s team in the future…

@2003nicko I wouldn’t say they rushed it. You have to remember they still have Hage, Zharovsky and multiple other prospects coming up.

@exquisitedish96 @CanucksHouse The first year was not his fault. He played fairly well. This year it was Foote who made him play in a system he didn’t thrive in.

@lWontApologize Alright then women shouldnt be coaches in the NHL.. while we’re at it throw em out of management as well. Or. We let anyone coach and manage whatever the hell they want too.

Seeing men everywhere say that PWHL players should be lucky they’re even making $37k because they don’t deserve even half that much, I hate it here

@timmer8uno @valessondra11 Of course it’s in the red. It’s 3 years old. The NHL was well within the red during its first 3 years. But yes I agree if you want to support the teams supporting sponsors is smart it makes it so other sponsors want to sponsor the league

@valessondra11 Where's the hate. Most ask if the league is making money and it turns out it's in the Red. Not every sports league is backed like LIV golf and it's imploding. If you want the league buy the merch go to the games and support their sponsors.

@pepitoluver You also have to realize that the league is 2 years old. I’m sure contracts will be bumped up as the league grows and the owner can sell teams to other owners so they don’t need to spread out their profits between every team

@BluelineBardown @MarineManimal Personally. To me it’s like Crosby. He has done so much for that team and city that he has earned the right to do whatever he wants to do. If he wants to retire a life long penguin than you let him. It’s the same with the Sedins. They brought you as close to the cup as possible.

@MarineManimal @ShadowSlayer07 Nothing against their character or legacy from my perspective, however I don’t think teams should hang on to guys like this. NMC’s are moveable too. They can be made to move. Flipping old players for assets keeps the team competitive for years

It’s ironic it’s the Sedins fault we’re only rebuilding now, and they’re in charge. Hear me out. Canucks refused to rebuild with legacy players that retire with the team. There’s an argument they couldn’t— the team was ‘competitive’ with them on the roster. Every year they tried to make the playoffs with them on the team. Only by 2019 did they get so bad the Canucks were forced to draft in the 5-10 range. Aquilini thought Horvat and Boeser were good enough and Pettersson was on the way. The retool was ‘working’ they thought. Sedins had an NMC, and said they would only ever play together. You can’t blame them. However they were 34 by in 2014 when it was obvious the team needed a rebuild. They stuck around til they were a few months shy of 38. Had we been able to move off of them at that time, we would have gotten a haul. I have mixed feelings about them sticking around so long, but they were the root cause of 4 years too long in the mushy middle followed by many more because of the ‘retool’ plan with them; which honestly had some merits. It’s pretty hard to rebuild around 2 guys who raise the floor in the standings so much. It’s food for thought if you should hang on to legacy players til the bitter end and get nothing in return for a rebuild.

@MarineManimal @BluelineBardown Loui literally agreed to get traded in the OEL trade? And OEL also agreed to leave the Canucks were just dumb and retained and then bought out his contract. So how about we don’t blame the players for wanting to stay loyal to a team?

@ShadowSlayer07 @BluelineBardown Sedins, Ohland, Naslund, Edler, OEL, Loui…all Canucks who refused to leave. Add in Sundin, alfredsson etc. since NTC’s, they’re impossible to move no matter how much the team asks. Tell me, what star player has forced their way out for the chance to win.

@MarineManimal @BluelineBardown Why are we generalizing an entire country of players like this? It makes no sense. There has been countless Swedes who have forced their way out so that they could have a chance at a cup and to actually compete.

@BluelineBardown The problem with Swedes is that they’re content to play and lose as long as they’re living happily in a place they like.

@Dinkydonk33 @TxOmbre When you are in a place to be a representative of your country it kind of is.. that’s just my opinion I won’t hate on anyone who doesn’t see it that way but I just will never root for anyone involved in that case.

@vikingquest69 @KanerRocket17 Over the course of a career it is a decent amount. As I said Barkov is better defensively though so it evens out.. I’m not calling Barkov a bum.
