Today marks 1 year since I went to Quebec City & had the best time looking at what Ubisoft had to show us about #AssassinsCreed Shadows!
God, it feels so long ago.. so much happened in 2025. What I cherish most is the fun memories & bonds we created during the trip! 🫶⚔️

Hell yes! Been missing the linear stories for years now.

Este DLC es muy esperanzador para la saga Assassin’s Creed. Te das cuenta que las narrativas LINEALES son mucho MEJORES que las abiertas en los juegos de AC. Te das cuenta que en Ubisoft saben escribir buenos personajes y buenas historias. Te das cuenta que el MOCAP deber ser OBLIGATORIO en esta saga. Y te das cuenta que siempre, pero SIEMPRE es mejor: calidad>cantidad. (Y si, te miro a ti Shadows y por supuesto a Quebec) Va tocando un AC principal con gran presupuesto para Bordeaux

Just finished this gem of a DLC and it was worth every moment
The story was so good and the ending hits you right in the guts, especially if you’ve felt something similar in your life

There’s an alternate reality where Unity’s release didn’t force Ubi to reboot the series as open world action RPGs
Imagine the AC games we could have gotten with this level of crowd density… that’s the dream, for me at least 😌

11 years later and Assassin’s Creed Unity’s Crowd Bulk System is still the best crowd system I've ever seen. NPCs near the player had 300 animation bones,acted independently, and reacted in full detail, while distant ones had 11 bones and moved in simplified groups that followed shared rules. They would blend up and down as you got closer. This sorcery along with AI scaling, kept THOUSANDS of characters moving semi-naturally, creating the illusion of living crowds without giving us garbage performance. What I would give to see this tech in more modern games, Final Fantasy towns especially.

@Jorraptor @AccessTheAnimus I tend to agree with you in that this is very, very early in the "AC Infinity" plan, cannot judge on what we have now and I feel like the train is speeding now, can't stop and reset once again at this point
