Viper is CONTESTING the Asian Games decision !!! According to HongCha, the reason he went back to Korea was to contest the Asian Games decision with his agency. There is a 10 days-period to do it and they want to have no regrets even if the chances for a change are very small.

Very sad for Kiin and Oner who both deserved it, however feels like you can never do a 6 man roster without leaving out 1/2 top players out in Korea, just goes to show how INSANE the region is.

Another perfect example is Urahara’s Bankai : Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame(The Inquisition of the Crimson Princess of the Cleansing Light of the Goddess of Mercy) shows incredible strategic depth. It summons a massive, mannequin-like woman that can analyze, disassemble, and reconstruct anything it touches by cutting and stitching it , it also applies to an opponent’s body, techniques, reiatsu, or even space itself.
He couldn’t just pop it whenever he wanted. Against Askin, whose Deathdealing let him control lethal doses and make Grimmjow’s own reiatsu toxic to him, and whose Gift Bereich created a massive inescapable poison barrier, Urahara had to study the ability in real time before using the Bankai to “re-edit” the Gift Bereich itself , opening a safe path through the deadly domain so Grimmjow could charge in and rip out Askin’s heart for the kill. This required perfect timing, deep analysis, and creative problem-solving , proving it’s a high-commitment tactical tool, not something you casually activate.

Kyoraku’s Bankai single-handedly disproves your take . Shunsui literally cannot use Katen Kyokotsu: Karamatsu Shinjū around allies where everybody can see it , its massive theater-like AoE drags everyone inside into a four-act Kabuki tragedy of doomed lovers, so he has to deliberately lure the enemy to an isolated battlefield first. It’s a calculated 1v1 finisher for when normal tactics fail against tough, regenerative, or immortal opponents: Act 1 mirrors wounds for mutual attrition (he trades hard with his endurance), Act 2 inflicts despair that withers will and regeneration, and the finale enforces conceptual death. This forces real strategic thought , positioning, timing, risk assessment, and isolation, not casual activation. Bankai like this has more narrative and tactical weights on the battlefield.

the only reason i have domain expansion over bankai is because it actually plays a role in the strategics of the fight and forces characters to think about their next move.
