This is fair. My freezing camera animation took me like 4 months to finish. The animation is the easiest part, cleaning up, coloring, setting up the frames all take a lot of time that money can't get you back.

Art is a luxury, and $300 is a fair price. Too many artists undervalue their work because of comments like that. People spend money on all kinds of things, everyone has their own priorities and what matters to them. For some, that’s art. Stop crying

Commission prices are out of control. Simple as. 300 bucks for a ref sheet or basic drawing?? Hell no. That's 10 HOURS of my life I would have had to spend to be able to afford that. Actually, it's definitely more than that because the government taxes wages.
