the parry is 100% the defining mechanic of the last decade souls games popularised the parry, now even doom & spider-man have a parry, expedition 33's loop is built on parries, any game with swords is expected to have it. and it still feels satisfying to pull off in every game

After visiting America I realised that people there don't drive cars, they sort of just "cruise" in them, the roads are all huge and long and straight and go on for hundreds of miles, all the cars are automatic and require very little human input, they have roomy interiors and obviously prioritise comfort and at least 2/3 of the people I saw on the roads were glued to their phones. That's probably why most European car crash videos happen on city roads or tight windy country roads, whereas in America most of the crazy crashes happen on highways where you pretty much only have to drive in a straight line, people have just become way too complacent and like only 20% of their focus is actually on the road
