INCOMING RANT‼️ As someone who’s been playing Love and Deepspace since November 2024, I do have some criticisms regarding the game’s longevity. The game is very good at creating hype, it’s fun, and the production quality is genuinely impressive. But LaDs is at its best when you’re a new player because you still have resources to grind and a huge amount of content to get through. As someone who’s mostly a solo Caleb main with maxed affinity and orbit levels who has already completed Open Orbit, Hunter’s Contest, Fluctuation Orbit, Abyssal Chaos, and UNICORN missions, the only consistent content left for players like me is limited banners, WU, and main story updates. We haven’t had any major Open Orbit or grinding related gameplay updates since July 2025. Main story updates only arrive every 4-6 months, and rerun banners don’t even come with events. The game is expensive while offering very little long term content once you’ve already read and completed almost everything. The company genuinely needs to step up and release more permanent gameplay content outside of limited banners because a lot of players are starting to burn out. Even if you’re a working adult with stable income who enjoys LaDs, there eventually comes a point where you start wondering why you’re still playing. In short, the game can become boring. Another issue is how inconsistent the content pacing feels. We get lukewarm content for most of the year, then suddenly a major version update drops twice a year and throws a massive amount of content at players all at once. Instead of feeling exciting, it can honestly feel overwhelming and exhausting. It’s not a sustainable way to maintain long term engagement. The developers really need to establish a more stable schedule for standard content releases. Right now, the only reliable way we get content for a love interest is through limited banners, Promises, and the occasional free card that the company sometimes seems to forget about 🤷🏻‍♀️
