A group of aggressive Jewish men intimidate a Muslim Al Jazeera journalist who was there to report on the Golders Green ambulance incident. They shout “Al Jazeera off our streets,” “Go home,” and “terrorist.” Their behaviour is a disgrace. If a group of Muslim men behaved like this towards a Jewish journalist, the reaction on social media would be different. Islamophobia is unacceptable.

I’m gutted to hear that. A political candidate, who I have personally respected over the years - not only failed to condemn terrorism - but thinks it can be explained and therefore justified.
I’ll say it again and forever. There is never ever any context to justify terrorism.

Just to counter the misinformation from the usual suspects. Hatzolah ambulances provide emergency medical response to anyone in need, regardless of religion, race, or background. Not just for Jewish people. They fund it themselves, not the government.

I’m not a fan of Corbyn, obviously, but this was the right thing to write. I don’t know about your algorithm, but British Twitter has been awash with false claims about Hatzala only serving Jewish patients and thus deranged notions of ‘segregation’, ‘apartheid’, and ‘Jewish supremacy’ on the basis of this.
He was pushing back against that rhetoric, and I am most grateful he did because his followers need to see it. Credit where credit is due.

I have a lot of journalists following me and I am imploring you, if you are writing about the antisemitic attack in Golders Green, *please* emphasise these two things:
- Hatzola is a volunteer-driven, no-cost service that is *entirely* self-funded. It relies 100% on private donations and community fundraising rather than government or public NHS funding.
- While operating in largely Jewish areas, it services Jews and non-Jews equally.
You may not deem it necessary to include this information, and in a perfect world it would not be. However, these are the two lies being spread by antisemites in order to justify the attack and use it to spread even more hostility against the Jewish people. Please include these facts.

It shouldn't need to be said. But Hatzola isn't a Jewish volunteer organization only for Jews. It serves the local community, both Jewish and non-Jewish alike. Its primary motivation is to save lives.
By failing to make this clear, too many media outlets like @SkyNews are unwittingly failing to stem the antisemitic lies rapidly gathering pace on social media that Jews only look after each other.

Hatzola was established in 1979 by members of the Orthodox Jewish community in North London. It is a volunteer, non-profit organisation providing rapid pre-hospital emergency medical care and ambulance response free of charge to the community, serving both Jewish and non-Jewish patients alike.
In 2026 four of its ambulances are burned down in Golders Green.
I can’t think of a more tragic illustration of the destructive nature of antisemitism, which harms both the Jewish community and wider society at large. Hatzola is of benefit to everyone: a shining example of the contribution Jewish communities endeavour make to their respective diaspora societies.
The arsonists responsible for this heinous act do not share the same desire to contribute to Britain; their only intent is to destroy. Any society that adopts a passive attitude towards such antisemitic criminals is, in equal measure, betraying its loyal Jewish citizens and acting in a manner of profound self-harm.

CNN is reporting this is outside a synagogue and I believe houses nearby have been evacuated and firefighters are still battling it. Every day I wonder where this will all end. I find it too terrifying to follow that thought through. I am pretty sure these guys won’t just stop at arson of ambulances, given the chance. And as I’ve noted before, for the Jewhaters, there is no “ok this has gone a bit far now.” Each attack emboldens and excites them more.

This week in Ballybrack Woods, Cork, Ireland 🇮🇪, antisemitic graffiti including the Nazi slogan “Juden Raus” (“Jews Out”) and messages praising Hitler were sprayed across public signs in a woodland used by families and children.
These aren’t just words.
