That is a market which was short call unwind at open and the dominant flow- . Forced buy-to-cover on short calls is a one-sided flow that lifts CE IVs mechanically The election overhang is asymmetric, not symmetric. Pre-event, the market priced uncertainty in both directions — both tails were fat. Post-result, if the outcome is read as continuity/stability, the left tail collapses faster than the right tail. Downside fear evaporates immediately Deep ITM calls and puts have no time value- discount that read. Focus only on ATM Saw the inverse of this on June 4 2024, when Put IV's were higher by 20- 30% . Next day call covering began and we mean reverted There is a skew which will get sold mostly by tomorrow. The 24,200 spot sitting on day VWAP/DPOC with this IV structure suggests the market is at a decision point where the upside chase has been fully priced into options This is a late day event structure, not an early one watch for IB30/ IS30 beginning from 24200 to clsoe this round to imbalance. 24200 IV assymentry meeting auction balance Imbalance follows next.
