HUGE shoutout to the Gunslinger himself @th1enluu who drove down to coach him on his big day. I know it gave him an added level of confidence. 💪🏽 Thanks to his coaches and teammates @schoolbjjarcadia. We keep on pushing…the marathon continues. 🏁

Silver lining was West showed a lot of grit and fought out of a couple bad positions and didn’t get tapped. When time ran out, West lost by points 3-0. We couldn’t be more proud of him and we’re all excited to see his next “level up” from here.

Don’t let scowl fool you, @WestWestBJJ had an awesome time competing at his very first #ADCC Open. He fought hard amongst the best kids in the country. It was surreal to see him on the same mats (and podium) that we’ve seen in TV and YouTube for years.
