A new chapter for Baltimore's Upton Mansion began today! @MayorBMScott, U.S. Senator @ChrisVanHollen, and @RepKweisiMfume joined state and community leaders to break ground on transforming this historic landmark into a cultural hub celebrating Black history.

Thanks in part to a $500K ARPA-funded Diversity in Arts Grant, this project will transform the Upton Mansion into a home and HQ for the @afronews archives, a headquarters for @afrocharities, and a community space for Baltimore residents.

The Diversity in Arts Grant funding helps awardees sustain and expand their work as they provide Baltimore City residents with quality art experiences and activities.

Now, @MayorBMScott, @bmoredhcd and other partners get ready to cut the ribbon on another ARPA funded project! Uplands II Phase 2 is now underway with a $160M+ investment, including $12 million from ARPA for infrastructure and construction of rental units.

We published our 10th Edition of #ARPA Insight Stories on Baltimore's Diversity in Arts Grant awardees, called "Revitalizing the Arts in Baltimore."
