@CloeyCallahan Cover letters and resumes don't really matter anymore, in my opinion. It's one of the reasons I started @rolebot_io. Let me know if you need quotes! I'm happy to provide color here.
#jobrecruiters has AI made your job harder? how do you know if someone copied and pasted a cover letter from ChatGPT? does it even matter at this point? #journorequest
Companies should treat candidates like they treat their customers.
Your candidates are just as important as customers. Imagine how much better things would be if you treated the candidate experience like you treated the customer success process.
Dear candidates,
When negotiating a salary, don’t throw down the first number.
If pressured to provide your requirements, turn the tables. Ask what their ideal target salary for the role is. Don’t ask for a range—a range is too loose.

Does pay transparency positively impact job seekers?💰This new law isn’t really different than it was before when the range was theoretically between $1 and $1 million. Companies will give out open or flex ranges, and there's no way to enforce this.

Ghost👻hiring?
Some companies publish job postings with no intent to hire anyone at the time. They just have 10 or 20 roles out there to feel the market out.
Have you been a victim of this not-so-secret practice?
#candidates#talentacquisition#Recruiting
We have to do better than Copy+Pasting other job descriptions and editing them to align with our businesses. Candidates can only view so many versions of “come join our rocketship” or “we’re looking for a unicorn💀” before they lose faith in the #hiring process.

Retention rate should not be a #recruitment metric.
Retention rate involves onboarding, expectations, leadership style, team dynamic, culture, training, internal mobility, and how challenging the projects are…recruitment has nothing to do with how long someone stays.
What are some of the most outside-the-box company perks you've experienced or heard of?
In times where “culture without walls” is becoming more important, what are some of the best practices you’ve witnessed?
#companyculture#perks#employeeengagement
Instead of worrying about how much it costs to hire someone, we should ask, “what does it cost not to hire someone?” Either way, we’re going to pay. 💸💸
There’s an ROI that our businesses aren’t achieving if we’re not hiring someone when it’s critical to do so.

Entry-level professionals usually think they want to become managers. But the more experienced professionals I talk to, the more often I hear people say they want to be executive-level individual contributors.
Have you found this to be true in your experience?
#careerdevelopment
#Candidates are judged less on the interview and more on the interview process.
How often do you follow up with the hiring manager? Are you doing your due diligence? How knowledgeable are you in the industry?
We can fake it in an interview, but we can't fake the follow-up.
Working from home is now a legal right in the Netherlands. The future of work and the health and well-being of the global workforce is primed for this.
Do you think the U.S. would ever be able to back this kind of legislation?

Wells Fargo recently paused a policy that created sham interviews of women and people of color as a way of boosting the bank's diversity credentials.
Recruitment executives generally have no guidance on defining #DEI requirements. So how are they supposed to improve things?
Layoffs are to be expected.
Overzealous investors put way too much money into a company, resulting in a temporary economy. This creates situations of overhiring.
We're seeing the results of these actions now. 👀
#layoffs
Spend way more time on the interview process. Don't put all your eggs in the resume basket.
We put too much effort into pre-qualification too early when it comes to hiring.
