Haven’t seen a more uneducated tweet about a footballer in a while. Bale was the closest to Messi and Ronaldo at times. Couldn’t operate in tights spaces? First of all he could, secondly, if he can kick a ball past 2/3 players outrun them and get to it, that’s okay with me too.

Gareth Bale was a functional kick and runner, he didn’t twine man. He couldn’t operate in tight spaces. As soon as he lost his pace he looked shit - Great left foot, very efficient ball carrier and a great athlete. Let’s not act like he was some kind of magician, please
