New PhD position available to study Canada Jays in Algonquin Park!

Dear haters, A common smear campaign tactic is to suggest peer-reviewed grant funding from independent public sources (CIHR, NIH, etc) makes us "shills", "gov puppets," and "propagandists." Researchers need funding. Grant system FAR from perfect, but where do YOU think we should get resources for our work? What would be a better system? BTW, I have never (in 30 yrs +) accepted industry funding for our research and, in Canada, researchers do not personally get a dime. The funds support students, research costs, etc. Please recognize that the goal of these smear campaigns is to create distrust to make room for the spread and embrace of misinformation. 🙏
