Huge congrats to fresh MSc graduate ir. David Beaumann from the Shaping Matter Lab. David defended his MSc thesis titled 'Material Characterisation of Mechanically Extracted Continuous Bamboo-Fibre Reinforced Polymers' on the morning of 25th September 🎉🎓

Last monday was refreshing one for some of us at SML as we met up with founders of the @FloatingFarmNL to discuss developing building materials from manure at the farm & other circular projects for high-tech farm at the port of rotterdam! Very moo-tivated to collaborate!

Last week we took the opportunity to play the Game of Unspoken Things in amazing weather - a refreshing experience that helps us conduct our research in an even more close and motivating way!

This approach enables cost-effective mass printing of piezoelectric ultrasound transducers, offering a pathway to scalable and bio-compatible manufacturing of intelligent structures with built-in sensing and actuation capabilities.
