THE BIGGEST IPO IN HISTORY IS COMING. HERE'S WHAT YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO KNOW SpaceX is going public, and the numbers are hard to wrap your head around. It wants to raise at least $75 billion at a valuation up to $2 trillion. The current record holder, Saudi Aramco, raised $29.4 billion back in 2019. SpaceX would more than double it. But here's the part most people miss: SpaceX is no longer just a rocket company. It now runs four businesses under one roof: • Rockets, the part everyone knows • Starlink, the satellite internet service that actually pays the bills • xAI and its Grok chatbot, bought in February • X, the app formerly called Twitter That AI piece is the key to the whole deal. SpaceX says artificial intelligence makes up $26.5 trillion of the $28.5 trillion market it's chasing. It's also why the company needs so much cash: its AI unit lost $6.4 billion last year, and xAI burns through about $1 billion a month. Going public is how Musk funds the bigger vision, which includes putting data centers in space. Two things to keep in mind: • Musk keeps 85.1% voting control, so regular shareholders get little say • You'd be buying an AI bet as much as a space bet If you want in, platforms like Robinhood $HOOD and SoFi $SOFI are expected to offer retail access. Trading could begin as soon as June 12.
