@BBF429 The handyman guy said something about sharkbites, I think he does not like them. He said he will only do copper or PVC and he is not confident about his helper's ability to solder. I could hire a professional plumber? They say that is most expensive. Could be worth it?

I am leaning towards PVC. We have a handyman and his young helper. The helper can crawl under the house, the crawl space is very low as that is how they made them back in the day, about 12" & 7" were there are beams. The helper doesn't know how to weld, PVC is easier.

Update: hot water valve replaced. Have I flooded the house? Not...yet. The final chapter on this repair has yet to be written. Seems pretty good though. I will say, holy crap @SharkBiteNA your product is 💯.

I could go to bed early. Or...ORRRRRRRR...I could race to Home Depot for emergency water valve repair parts.

Highly recommend #SharkBite products. Had a leaking toilet shutoff valve. I’m not a plumber, but @SharkBite made the job a breeze. I also went ahead and replaced the guts of the toilet with #Korky Universal Repair kit.

@SharkBiteNA A SharkBite 3/4" check valve that I purchased approximately 4 years ago failed in my hydronic floor heating system. Replacement part from Home Depot cost $19.68. I do not have a receipt for the old check valve. Can I still get a refund under your 25 year warranty?
