I can't be the only one who finds Stravinsky's "L'Histoire du soldat" to be a tedious, ungainly, boring, repetitive work that's aged terribly. Right? I mean, I *know* I'm wrong and it's a masterpiece, yaddayaddayadda. But are there any other fellow wrong-headed people out there?

A terrific audience for my first show of this Scandinavian tour They responded loudly right from the off. Many brilliant actors and comedians afterwards were very kind and sweet. It was an amazing evening and I love Stockholm. What a beautiful city and so civilized. But we’re off tomorrow for Vaksho on Wednesday night.

Today's Ukrainian lesson is about the word “crime” which is a great example of cultural differences between Ukrainians and russians: In Ukrainian “crime” is “злочин” [zlochyn] which literally means 'to do evil' “Зло” = evil “Чинити” = to do For us crime is something morally wrong, it’s about doing evil things Now compare this with russian: “преступление” [prestupleniie] meaning “to step over something” Feel the difference? No mention of good or evil - just crossing a line. This mindset blurs morality, doing evil isn’t always seen as wrong if it follows orders - even when those orders are cruel, sadistic, inhuman 😣 And that's why we can never be one nation or “brothers” with them 👊 We are not the same. Let's care about the language cause words shape our reality and values, they can heal or hurt.
