Sun Gods from both Nahua and Ñuu Savi, Tonatiuh(Tunaltzin) and Nidcandii(1-death), Tonatiuh is the war diety, requiring sacrifice on the battle field to sustain the world itself to function, compared to Nidcandii, who is a pacifist, banning all violence on his island(afterlife)

A Main Deity being advertised as just quetzalcoatl of mixtec by every academic organisations you can imagine, and a major god, being forgotten in the history, and his people's memories

North was not really associated with death that was the south where the skull temple(the main temple of 9-grass) resided.

Sorry to be rude but this isn’t how the Mixtec split the directions, it was by the god who ruled them.
North was ruled by the priest god, 2-dog
South was ruled by the goddess of death, 9-grass
West was ruled by the goddess of lakes, 1-eagle
East was ruled by the sun god, 1-death
