@MostafaFatah Also wrestling this weekend was @phoebecocker_ wrestling at the Stora Björnen Cup. Phoebe wrestling with a broken finger and broken toe managed to come away with a hard earned Gold medal in her new age group of U17s 53kg. Well done everybody a great weekend had by all.

Phoebe taking Gold in the final in a match that was truly worthy of a final with both wrestlers wanting to wrestle at every opportunity and both leaving absolutely everything on the mat. Well done Phoebe a fantastic achievement in a great competition.

Phoebe is still finding her feet at 54kg after moving up 2 weight categories in 6 months; put in a monumental effort of wrestling, focus and determination. There were 23 in the weight category- Phoebe winning her group with some tough bouts against some talented wrestlers.

We had a wonderful afternoon delivering some wrestling sessions in the local community in Breightmet today. The mat was busy all afternoon and the young people who took part absolutely loved it. 🤼‍♀️ 🤼‍♀️ 🤼‍♀️ Junior sessions Tuesday - Thursday 6.30pm - 7.45pm

Phoebe has been with Sharples since the age of 4 and it’s fantastic to see our wrestlers progress.

Well done Phoebe on getting a 4th place finish at the higher weight of 50k out of 21 wrestlers at the highly rated Swedish Soft touch open in Gothenburg. Phoebe agreeing to have a run out at 50k in what is a very tough tournament with large numbers attending from the Nordics.

Phoebe unfortunately coming up short in the Bronze medal match with a couple of unnecessary mistakes that were punished. That’s why you’re there 👍 Good work Phoebe keep working hard - keep learning - see you soon🍀

Phoebe managed to grind out some good results against tough opponents to finish 2nd in her group - losing only once in the group to a wrestler who has been formidable at 50k this season, and who also went on to win the final.
