The amount of jealousy I've seen on this is crazy. I've helped organise a group of ~38 of us Furries to go away for a long weekend together in England for 3 years now.
It's possible to do - it's about budgeting & planning. And most importantly - spending time with friends.

A trip to Thailand with friends isn’t unrealistic to do. The villa from the video was $18,350 for 5 nights. Among 20 people that’s $917.50 a person, not including flights. Honestly not a lot more than a con you’d have to fly to

I know some furs in the UK do friendcons in UK. Though getting furries to commit to anything is like herding cats and apparently furries are shocked by what's affordable when 20 people pitch in and no one flakes. Could get a place with a pool or set up a bouncy castle outside 🤣

Seeing all the odd villa 'drama' and it's a bit silly tbh. Yes for that they likely did all spend more than the average con, and its their right, but probably not too much more split over like 20 of them. Can do the same just minus the indoor waterfall for con price or less XD

Fun fact you can make your own glow in the dark mochi minky by mixing glow powder into fabric medium and painting it on the back of white mochi minky (NOT the soft fuzzy surface)
Mix in some sublimation printing on the surface, and you can do some pretty fun stuff!
