It’s crazy how sooo many people were saying they were gonna start watching Doctor Who or return to it after Ncuti was cast
But even before his abysmal episodes aired, the hype still seemed to die down so quick?? Like by Church on Ruby Road it felt like no one gaf

Capaldi didn’t swear for the 4 years he played the Doctor. Jodie Whittaker put on the costume herself, jumped inside her cupboard and portrayed the doctor in a sketch to help children during covid. Ncuti had to be ASKED to stop SMOKING on set. Not a good look at all.

Even if Ruby was meant to be in S2, she would've still been normal imo. RTD had a specific story he wanted to tell.

With the theories that Ruby was supposed to be the main S2 companion and be Desiderium, I’ve begun to suspect this was a last minute rewrite to wrap up Ruby’s mystery.
Not quite as chaotic as the S2 reshoots but also not the original plan. That’s why it doesn’t make much sense.

@minimoefoe RTD promised a season every year, so they really did not see this as a possibility. I might be misremembering but I think Disney changed hands after acquiring DW and we know the kind of lawyers they have. They can probably change any deal.
