@ldsfilmguy I was also baptized into the LDS faith at 20. I don’t love all of the church history, but I love the Savior and this is His church. Period. I recently painted this piece to show how I feel inside sometimes and to show the Savior is the calming force amongst that turmoil.

I was raised non-denominational, I only went to church on Christian holidays. I didn't get baptized into the LDS faith until I was 20 in 2010. I already knew about Joseph Smith's plural marriages because I did my research and studied the history books published by the church. My experience is not unique.

And people said 47 didn’t fit a QB. What about the #1 draft prospect?

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints toured the Salt Lake Temple to see firsthand the progress of the renovation project. They were joined by the members of the Presiding Bishopric, who manage the temporal affairs of the Church. Afterward, President @OaksDallinH wrote about the purpose of the house of the Lord, where eternal covenants are made. This tour came the month after President Oaks had a hip replacement surgery on April 15. He said the tour was a welcome part of his ongoing recovery. A three-part Church News Living Record documentary series on @BYUtv looks at religious freedom. The series is called “Voices for Faith,” and it features Elder @CookQuentinL of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, personal stories and scholarly discussions on defending religious freedom, starting in Ghana and extending around the world.
