@WarMonitor3 My uncle Lieutenant Andy Van Aardt(SAAF) who was seconded to RAF 112 Squadron in Sicily and Italy 1945. He flew a Mustang P51, featuring the aircraft nose art with the shark mouth design and was shot down twice and survived the war with a steel plate in his head.
