Drs Cranston, Haslam & Connell @ Shay Lane Medical Centre have already conducted 27.5% more appointments so far this year compared to pre-pandemic levels in the whole of 2019 and there are still three weeks to go. Demand for appointments is at an all-time high.

National General Practice and Workforce Data shows there are 1900 fewer full time GPs than in 2015 however there is a record number of face-to-face GP appointments being currently offered. Practices are busier than ever but there is a limit as to what can be offered safely.

Following the recent public release of the General Practice Appointment Data, we have taken a snapshot of data from a selection of practices in our area. Drs Cranston, Haslam & Connell @ Shay Lane Medical Centre have the highest level of patient access!

Our waiting room is open for patients WITH BOOKED APPOINTMENTS ONLY from Monday 1st November. An appointment is essential in order to be seen. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing - still necessary in GP surgeries. Don't come if you have covid symptoms, ring us.
