Episode 2 is now out. Imam Tom and other polemicists often claim that the Shia hadith corpus contains unambiguous narrations affirming textual corruption of the Quran. This episode directly examines and debunks that claim through a careful analysis of the narrations, their context, and the actual position of Twelver Shia scholars. Watch and share. youtu.be/6o3K11R62ag?si…

How do Shia Muslims reconcile narrations found in their hadith corpus which state that the angel Gabriel revealed 17,000 verses of the Qur’an to the Prophet (s) with the belief that the Qur’an in our possession today remains complete and unaltered? youtu.be/6o3K11R62ag?si…

Advise tyrants “privately” because oppressive rulers are always accessible to sincere God-fearing people, and private advice has such a flawless track record of stopping tyranny lol. Conveniently, this doctrine also ensures the public stays silent while injustice flourishes.

None of the rulers mentioned were actively carrying out or funding a genocide against Muslims while seeking public normalization from the Prophet (s). Try again.

Will you dare condemn Prophet Muhammad (s) before you condemn His Excellency President Ahmed Al-Shara? In a narration found in Sunan al-Tirmidhi (Hadith 1576), Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) reported that Khosrow II (Chosroes), the Emperor of the Sasanian Persian Empire, sent gifts that Prophet Muhammad (s) accepted (before their diplomatic relations deteriorated). The Prophet Muhammad (s) readily accepted state gifts from the "People of the Book" (Christians and Jews) and major monarchs to signal peace, mutual respect, and statehood. Perhaps the most famous and well-documented diplomatic gifting was by Al-Muqawqis, the Byzantine Coptic leader of Alexandria. These are just some of the gifts that he sent to prophet Muhammad (s): Duldul: A premium white riding mule, which the Prophet frequently used in Medina. Ufayr: A donkey. Wealth and Luxury Items: 1,000 mithqals (roughly 4.5 kg) of gold, 20 fine Egyptian linen garments, high-quality aromatic honey, a crystal glass, and premium perfumes. The Sisters Mariya and Sirin: Two respected Coptic women. The Prophet married Mariya al-Qibtiyya (who later gave birth to his son, Ibrahim), and he married Sirin to the prominent court poet, Hassan ibn Thabit. 📌 The Prophet (s) accepted many other diplomatic gifts and was routinely seen utilizing said gifts. 📌 Here are some other examples of leaders who sent our prophet diplomatic gifts (which he happily accepted): 1.) Ashama ibn Abjar (The Negus / Al-Najashi of Abyssinia) 2.) The King of Aylah (Yuhannah ibn Rubah) 3.) Farwah ibn Nufaathah Al-Judhaami (Byzantine Governor of Amman) 4.) Ukaydir ibn Abd al-Malik, the Christian king of Dumat al-Jandal (an oasis city in northern Arabia)

In a post on X, prominent American Muslim scholar Shaykh Azhar Nasser commented on the terrorist shooting attack targeting a San Diego Mosque on Monday claiming the lives of five people: “This mosque shooting did not happen in a vacuum. It is the consequence of years of dehumanizing Muslims both domestically and abroad. From political leaders to mainstream media figures, anti-Muslim rhetoric has become so normalized that Muslim lives are too often treated as disposable.”

@TinKnowledge No one is “obsessing.” We are simply addressing the errors that were made, particularly because no meaningful clarification was ever provided.

Really bad take. There’s a difference between critiquing a tradition and misrepresenting it. The point isn’t “only Shias can discuss Shiism.” The point is that if you’re going to publicly define another tradition, especially before a huge audience, accuracy matters.

I sincerely want to express my gratitude to @YasirQadhi for taking the initiative to sit down with @mahdi_rastani in a spirit of respectful and thoughtful dialogue. It takes genuine intellectual maturity and courage to engage differences with openness and adab. I pray that this starts happening across more communities.

The episode on Shiism by Imam Tom Facchine has been taken down following his public apology acknowledging mistakes in how Shia Islam was presented. His willingness to publicly admit errors is praiseworthy and reflects sincerity and intellectual honesty. At the same time, since no clarification was given regarding the specific claims that were mistaken, many misconceptions about Shia Islam continue to circulate. This series aims to address those claims and provide a more accurate understanding of Shia beliefs and sources. youtu.be/GbwbSiOcPCc?si…

@KhalilAndani I normally avoid engaging in polemics because the space is often deeply toxic. But when this level of sectarian rhetoric emerges from the most prominent Sunni research institute in America, a response becomes necessary.

I think it takes a great deal of courage to publicly acknowledge one’s mistakes, and that is certainly commendable. At the same time, an apology should be proportionate to the gravity of the mistake itself. This apology makes no mention of Shias specifically and remains quite generic, despite the fact that Shias were accused of believing in the textual corruption of the Qur’an, the mass apostasy of the companions, and other serious claims. The video never clarified what the alleged misinformation regarding Shia Islam actually was. For that reason, Shias are fully justified in continuing to address and correct the misinformation that was spread by @yaqeeninstitute . Especially considering the video remained publicly available on YouTube for an entire month. youtu.be/b5WT2K7I6EA?si…

@ShaykhAzhar By the way even on the point of Tahrif. It is a fine that you and a group of scholars mainly from the Usuli background reject Tahrif. But you should likewise be transparent to your audience and tell them that a group of renowned Imami scholars did hold the Quran to be changed-

@ShaykhAzhar Can you please be honest with yourself and your viewers? Is the belief in mass apostasy of the companions an accusation and misinformation? Mass apostasy is narrated from your infallible imam and accepted by all renowned scholars of Imamiyya.
