@WhereverIPlease @KieranMaguire Exactly, it’s disappointing that I’m able to resell and you can face fines if you do. The best system is the traditional points/membership system that football clubs use. Ticketmaster and other American resale sites make it unaffordable for the average American to attend.

The FA and Premier League turn a blind eye to Todd Boehly’s Vivid Seats selling FA Cup semi final tickets for more than a grand. These organisations are supposed to be the guardians of the game, yet they show the backbone of a jellyfish and the voice of an Easter Island statue when it comes to speaking up for those who built the game, the fans. @WhereverIPlease @KieranMaguire Your reply shows you’re uneducated on the subject. Vivid seats is in American company and therefore does not have to operate under UK even ticketing laws. It’s mainly American resellers that use it not English. It’s not ok and there is clear conflict of interest. But not illegal.

@ShaylPatel @KieranMaguire We're not uneducated. We, as private individuals, are committing a legal offence by operating as you suggest. Why would anyone be okay with this? We are not America and have no desire to be.

@KieranMaguire Not if the club has approved it. I’m not denying that there is a conflict of interest here. I’m just simply saying that the way vivid seats operate is 3rd party. Vivid seats is also an American company so like Ticketmaster, etc. they have always been able to avoid that law.

I think people in the UK are uneducated on how sites like vivid seats operate. It’s all 3rd party sales. Boehly has nothing to do with the tickets on the site for sale. It’s all resale tickets that normal people upload. Either tickets they already have or expect to receive.

The fact that fans are on board with a player dressing down their own club in interviews should tell you everything you need to know about it the standard of ownership that they are dealing with.
