Breaking From AHSAA: Moody High School’s football program has been fined and placed on probation for displaying flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct in violation of AHSAA Eligibility Rule 1, Section 17. The flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct occurred following Moody High School’s state football championship game at the Super 7 Class 5A State Finals at Birmingham’s Protective Stadium. Moody High School self-reported the flagrant unsportsmanlike conduct following its own investigation. As a result, the four Moody assistant football coaches, the head football coach, and the 10 Moody players involved in the incident will not be allowed to participate in the 2026 spring or fall jamboree game and the first regular-season game of the 2026 football season. For the players who have no football eligibility remaining, an additional fine of $250 is being assessed per player. If the coaches or players are no longer at Moody High School next season, the suspension will be assessed at the schools they are attending. In addition, Moody High School will be responsible for the cost of repairing any damage to the Protective Stadium dressing room.

Yup. He’s up to 11 pounds. They have to transfer him to another hospital for because the current hospital he’s at cannot meet his complex needs. The family is 100% responsible for the cost even tho the state forced them to keep that poor woman “alive” as a human incubator. No news outlet is covering this, you know why? Because the fucking experiment on a black woman’s body has FAILED miserably. The only updates are from grandma’s go fund me. They let that woman die for a clump of cells (she was only 9 weeks pregnant at the time) that’s not even doing ok 6 months later. 6 months is a long time to be in nicu! Adriana Smith is her name. I am so sorry the state did this to you. You were a 30 year old nurse with a kid who was already here who needed you. The state failed you, the very hospital that you worked at who was so supposed to help you failed you…everybody failed you.

This is the 2nd Black woman I’ve seen THIS WEEK who was in active labor in a hospital, was denied care, & had the baby <15 mins later. When we say the maternal mortality rates of Black women is 2-4 times higher than white women, this is why. Why make it about race? You tell me.
