2024, my first new year as an NQP Speech & Language Therapist! I've learned so much in my first four months as an SLT. Here are some of the things I've discovered as an NQP....

Finally, NQP life is tiring. I'm exhausted at the end of each day, from all the thinking I have to do! Make time for self-care, prioritise your wellbeing! Do nice things at the weekend, take your annual leave (you earned it!) and stick to your hours. Future you will thank you.

I have yet to meet a 'textbook' child on my caseload, but being a detective is one of the best bits of my job. Trust your instincts, you know more than you realise :)
