My little contribution to society is loving the women around me and encouraging them to lean into what makes em whole
Like wym you loved drawing, writing, poetry, but you stopped cuz of life😂
Mr Star 💙@sodiqstar16
As a society, we hate women way too much. Even in the littlest of things, it’s very evident and appalling.

Eight years and four months ago, I responded to a man’s greeting in a store outside my house in Ghana, and what followed was one of the scariest experiences of my life.
This stranger trailed me home and tried to force his way into my house while yelling “how much do you want for a night?” at me, and telling me to stop acting like it’s not prostitution I came to do in Ghana because that’s what Nigerian girls do here. Mind you, he was Nigerian, a fellow Igbo person (I know because he kept switching between English and Igbo while yelling at me for refusing him entrance to my home).
I managed to prevent him from getting into my home that night and he threatened that he’d be back. He never came back. However, every night I spent alone in that house till I graduated (I was already in my final semester), I slept with a knife beside me. I felt so unsafe that I left Ghana two days after my final papers. I didn’t attend my convocation in December of that year.
I have traveled to many places since then, and yet I have never returned to Ghana. I will return some day soon though because I’m on a mission to make new memories in cities where I have had traumatic experiences. But that’s not the point of this post.
The real point of this post is what I am about to say below:
When that man said “hi” to me in a store full of people, I did not know he was a creep. I did not think he’d trail me and attempt to rape me. These things are not written on the faces of people. So, no matter the context under which a woman does not respond to a stranger, whether it was from fear, she’s having a bad day, or she is simply a snob, I would never find it okay to harangue her for not responding to a person’s greetings.
What I find actually problematic and bizarre is people making a fuss because they feel entitled to a response from a stranger. That’s weirdo behaviour, and the aim of such silly behaviour is to “humble” the stranger because you think someone’s refusal to engage you is a statement of your worth as a person. The person that needs to do inner work the most is you. Fix your sense of self worth.
English

This is how those men that harm women think, you’re not entitled to a woman’s greeting, if you greet and she no answer, move on nau? Why are you crashing out, if you’re around her at this rate you could harm her

You snubbed me, still went ahead to accused me of being nasty and flirty to you, then you tendered a half baked apology, and now you have blocked me. I actually messed up by trying to say hi to you. You’re such a rude and badly behaved girl.
English

@Ambivert_Saint @Omodolapomayo There’s nothing to apologize for, that’s his mentality, you don’t see a child and the next thing you think about is anything sexually related, when you see a child, you see them as a child not their future self or sex in any manner. Then imagine going ahead to tweet it.
English

@Omodolapomayo Exactly, someone with sense would know that 5Star was obviously joking…
Normal normal he went to far and I blame him for that, but he has also apologized, the lady that made the post knew how X was and she still chose to post her little sister

When Your Two Daughters Make You Proud
This is for those men who believe having only female children is a bad omen
These two pictures tell a wonderful story
The first picture is the newly elected first female President of NBA Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN
The second is the Minister of Industry and Invesment Mrs Oduwole , the junior sister to Oyinkansola
They're both daughters of my Former Vice Chancellor at LASU, Late Prof Afolabi Olumide ( 1st LASU VC )
Prof Olumide was so loved during our time at LASU
He was a Professor of Medicine and a old boy of Igbobi College Yaba
Congratulations to worthy ladies
