So the 14th edition of Oxford University’s World Happiness Report is out, and surprise, surprise! Israel is the 8th happiest country in the world. Isn't that just brilliant (?!) I'm scratching my head and trying to figure how a nation that's been committing savagery in Gaza for years and stirring up wars across the region can be so darn cheerful. Maybe they found their bliss in all that chaos? Or perhaps, like the land, happiness was also promised to them?
