It's very bullish for creatives right now. Belief statements aren’t enough anymore; brands have to perform in 2026. There's a huge opportunity to create experiential activations and try new things. If you're building something, it's time to think outside of the box 👌

These are just a couple of ways to future-proof for the years ahead. Some of the best marketers I know have small followings and quiet profiles, but their work and their portfolios speaks VOLUMES. And their best work always boils down to systems and strategy. The best campaigns and initiatives I've been part of have boiled down to systems and strategy. So if you're building your portfolio right now; get serious about systems and business strategy. You won't regret it + it's what every serious project and business is looking for in a team right now. End of thread 🤍

This is how CMOs and C-suite execs think. And it's how every marketer needs to think and operate moving forward, because this industry is maturing and consolidating quickly. Things are changing. Building the types of systems and processes it takes to achieve good results consistently isn't pretty work, but it's rewarding and builds you one hell of a portfolio. Systems like; - CRM and lead management - Incorporating AI into your workflows, team organisation and operations - Scaling and growth blueprints

🧵After working with Bybit's APAC team and some other really great crypto brands over the past few years with events, campaigns, MarOps, ecosystem development and everything in between; I can say this with confidence... The *most effective* marketers think like business owners, not campaign managers or creatives or degens who just 'understand crypto'. What does that actually mean? Let's explore. 📸 Throwback to a really cool event we ran for one of our Australian trading communities with Bybit in Perth! I love these community events 🤍

Just an observation - a few months ago I wrote about what crypto events are getting wrong, sharing some ideas from a background of working with major promotions and events like the UFC. I think many of us have been feeling for a while that crypto events needed to change. The tactic of projects and crypto businesses using events purely for brand exposure is basically inflated and outdated now. To achieve brand exposure, crypto event sponsorships are now 5+ figures, and most ROI markers sponsors see are actually vanity metrics and centered on virality > LTV conversion or meaningful acquisition. I really think crypto events will start to shift primarily to B2B, and many of them (although loved) will entirely phase out, as there is more: a. downscaling to achieve more intimate, networking style settings, which will maximise value for sponsors and ticket holders and offer more of a curated experience b. crypto brands merging or collaborating with mainstream industries like SaaS and tech, banking and finance, entertainment and art, gaming etc We will also likely see more large scale crypto brand sponsorships and activations at festivals and entertainment venues, OOH advertising and crossover collaborations, rather than stacked event calendars and schedules. Bottom line here is, I think this is a sign of maturation as much as it feels like the end of an era. This progression is necessary for the industry to break out of our bubble and start connecting with broader audiences out there; it's a good, necessary thing. 👌

This year, I've read countless posts of crypto conference/event numbers dwindling, conference fatigue, and that the conference circuit feels uninspired or regurgitated. Fun fact, before I started working in crypto, I was a fight journalist and covered/worked with some of the largest promotions in the world, like the UFC and ONE Championship. In my latest article, I outline 2 things I would love to see crypto events/conferences do more of, based on what I know these global promotional companies do to scale and attract fans (returning and new) en masse. linkedin.com/pulse/what-cry… 🫶

After this week’s draw, Pulse will be going offline. This upcoming 75M $NEXA draw will be the final one. When I started PixelPup over a year ago, the goal was simple: to prove that Nexa could support continuous, real on-chain activity through games, predictions, and incentives. We did that. multiple weekly draws consistent on-chain payouts real users interacting with the system a working activity loop I’m proud of what was built, and grateful to everyone who participated. Thank you to: the users who tested, played, and gave feedback the BU developers who took time to offer guidance and insight Running this with rewards costs about ~$250/month, and at the current scale it’s not something I can justify continuing long-term. At the same time, BU appears to be moving toward a more standardized ecosystem approach, and PixelPup sits a bit outside that direction. So for now, this is a pause. Development may continue in the background, and I’m still very interested in what BU releases next — especially around concept apps and deeper libraries. I haven’t wavered in my commitment to Nexa. I just don’t think extending this live version is the best use of time or resources right now. If the environment evolves and the user base grows, I’d absolutely consider bringing back an updated version. For now — one last draw. Let’s finish it properly.
