@OtienoKenny It's very clear he has poor people skills. There are many success stories in tournaments that he should be speaking about. This is just killing players mentality

I finally got my hands on the April issue of the @KickOffMagazine, featuring Benni McCarthy on the cover as the main story. The Harambee Stars head coach shares some insightful perspectives in the interview—thought-provoking reflections that I believe are well worth your time. Here are a few key takeaways that stood out to me: 1. On taking the Harambee Stars job; “I first needed to have a break because I felt like I had aged very fast in that short time (coaching Manchester United). I needed to rest, and the offers and opportunities that came were not what I wanted. I had coached modest clubs like Amazulu and Cape Town City, and I didn’t want to coach modest clubs anymore. As much as I wanted to continue coaching at club level, the Kenya offer came, and the project, the opportunity to coach at AFCON did seem appealing now that they will host it. 2. On fans giving him a semi-final target at AFCON 2027: What did they do in their life that they want to come and make demands? If only they knew what it takes to win. So I don’t have time for ignorant and stupid people who don’t know what it is to manage. Especially when you have teams like Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Bafana Bafana ahead of you. So people mustn’t be silly. For me, I think we could have a chance to get out of the group stages because the level is high and most of our players are playing in the Kenyan league. And the Kenyan Premier League, compared to the South African League, is very low. 3. On whether he is irritated by demands by Kenyan fans: You can’t be too ambitious and think ‘Hey, I want to reach the semi-final’. Who are you going to beat to get there? So maybe if we get teams like Seychelles, with due respect, and other small nations in your group, then you can try. But imagine you get Bafana Bafana or Ivory Coast, the top two go through, where are you going to finish? I have been in the game long enough. It does upset you a little bit when you hear people giving silly comments and making statements like that, thinking they know more. 4. On whether he will be interested in managing the South Africa national team after the departure of Hugo Broos: I think a lot of people will be interested after Broos leaves. But if I am asked, of course, I would. Its my country. Its our national team. 5. On confirming before that he would love to coach Kizer Chiefs: My duty right now is with the Kenyan national team. Im a fan of the club from outside but if it (coaching opportunity) comes to my doorstep, then I will have to deal with it @pepeta_ke #FootballKE

@zaxoguda @KickOffMagazine These are not things you want to hear coming from a coach at such a level. We know it's the truth- but he's killing the teams mentality by stating such in public. Herve Renard pulled the impossible with Zambia and Saudi Arabia- sell such kind of stories to your team . Not this

‼️At the top of the day-to-day running of Chelsea is Eghbali – a driven man who runs around $90bn of investors’ money in Clearlake Capital funds. He demands much of his employees, and at the top of that are his co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley, and Laurence Stewart. Then come their colleagues Joe Shields, director of recruitment and talent; Sam Jewell, director of global recruitment and Dave Fallows, director of scouting and recruitment. ~ @SamWallaceTel

I understand the urge for an experienced manager, but realistically, I don't see anyone who can take this job. A young manager isn't bad if the squad is there and he's well supported. Maresca and Kompany aren't experienced, and they delivered. This is happening because Maresca left. He wasn't well supported in the market or with decision-making. It's as simple as that.
Vince™@Blue_Footy

If we can't get Fabregas, get Alonso. That's based on our squad profile. But we can't make the mistake of going into next season with Rosenior, unless we are ready to sell 15 players, buy another 15 players, and start from zero again. We didn't do that for the more established Pochettino; we shouldn't do that now.

🚨 Exclusive: Bournemouth are close to appointing Marco Rose as their new manager. The Cherries quickly identified Rose as their preferred choice after Andoni Iraola told them he was leaving at the end of the season. Barring any late hitches, a formal agreement is expected imminently.🍒 🤝 @alex_crook
