My Mommy passed last night at age 90. Sylvia Hebscher was the most decent person on this earth. Always smiling. Cared more for others than herself. Married 70 years to my Dad. Original #BlueJays season ticket holders. Rest easy, Mommy. ❤️

We just learned of the sudden passing of a colleague and consummate professional, Mark Gregory. He was a past president to our chapter and dedicated years of service and time to advancing PR in Canada. We will miss his passion and his friendship. Our thoughts go to his family.

Not quite into month 8 of solitary confinement and I’m at a loss as to how I’m going to refill the tank to do another so six months of it. I’m running on empty.

First album I bought was Captain Fantastic. From then on, I got every Elton John album the day it came out and read everything about him I could. But just finished his memoir and learned so much. Still on my work bucket list: an ⁦@eltonofficial⁩ interview. ( hint, hint) 😉

Interesting. As I said on Strombo’s show years ago (video’s on Youtube) the bosses at CKDH in Amherst, CKCW in Moncton and CHNS in Halifax (and of course at CBC) never even hinted I might consider changing my on-air name. And this was early 80’s Maritimes.

Consider this a belated apology to every one of my teachers for underestimating how challenging their jobs were. The back story: I just did six fifteen minutes sessions with high school students, chatting about journalism. No biggie, right? I'm exhausted. Like, done.
