2nd & 3rd grade learned the significance of Kente Cloths in Ghana, Africa. They learned color choices and patterns had different meanings. We are paper weaving our “Values” Kente projects. Each color represents a special value and the color most dominant, is the most valued!

My Thriving Artists’ word of the day in art class was “Sculpture”! We watched a Sesame Street video introducing the word, repeated the word the best we could, created sculptures of our own and did a freeze dance movement break to act like statutes! We will paint next week!
