@Mr_Andrew_Fox We had a discussion about how this could be normalised if mental health was approached along the lines of stroke Act F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) acronym campaign. Because it's everywhere, collective consciousness normalises the issue/topic. @NHSVeteranAware @NavinaEvans

I get the sentiment but I really don’t like this. I’d prefer the discussion to be about normalising mental healthcare. Presenting it as strong vs weak isn’t useful. Something like “You’d go to a doctor if you were physically hurt; go see one if you’re mentally hurting”.

Hugely important and eye-opening report on the impact of the gay ban in the UK Armed Forces which was in place until the year 2000. Long-term effects on veterans' wellbeing are characterised in terms of #moralinjury & were found to cause isolation and difficulty accessing support
